The location was perfect for our family of six! We easily walked to the National Theatre and hit up the shopping street, Karl Johans gate. The breakfast spread was superb, rivaling the best options we've seen in other hotels.

In my wife’s opinion, the heating was tough to manage, making the nights uncomfortable. An improvement would be to allow families to control their room climate better.

The air conditioning clearly didn’t function properly. I felt like I was in a hotbox with no way to cool things down, which made for a pretty uncomfortable night. The surrounding area gets noisy late into the night due to nearby nightclubs, so if you’re looking for peace and quiet, you might want to think twice. Parking costs about 500 NOK per night, and the spots are pretty tight, which could be a hassle for anyone with a larger vehicle.
